Destination Riverina Murray’s mission is to strengthen the region’s visitor economy by developing strong partnerships with industry, local government and tourism organisations to collectively contribute towards increasing visitation, expenditure and dispersal within the Riverina Murray region.
The Riverina Murray region encompasses 149,000 square kilometres, 22 local government areas and is home to over 275,000 people. The region is known as the nation’s food bowl and is one of the most diverse destinations in NSW, featuring mountains, waterfalls and lakes in the snowy valleys region, some of Australia’s most important waterways in the Murray, Darling, Murrumbidgee and Edward rivers, and the world heritage listed Mungo National Park, a place of international significance. Key visitor markets for the region are holiday makers and people travelling to visit friends and relatives.
