The Riverina Murray Destination Management Plan identifies the need to develop the region’s population centres to support growth in the visitor economy. Accommodation capacity is critical to ensuring the region can cater for peak periods of visitation such as during major events and festivals.
The Accommodation Market Assessment Report seeks to understand the level of supply and demand in the region, with a particular focus on the Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith and Snowy Valleys local government areas.
The audit of the region’s accommodation supply and demand is the initial phase of the project and a series of investment prospectus documents will now be developed to inform and encourage either existing accommodation operators or developers seeking to enter the market and develop new accommodation properties.
